In 2011 Henrique Prata published the book Acima de Tudo o Amor, in which he tells the story of the Barretos Cancer Hospital (HCB). During this period, around 140,000 copies of the book were sold and countless reports were collected from people touched by the testimony presented. Henrique, however, never imagined the proportion that publication would take. Among the true miracles witnessed by him is that of being able to remedy, through donations and charitable events with the support of volunteers, a monthly deficit that is around 21 million reais. This is proof that, “even if people don’t always prove me right or if there is a lack of money, I do my part – and Providence does its part”, says Henrique.
